Dr. Ilana Bush

Ilana commenced working in private practice for Taft Diagnostic Imaging in 1997. As part of her role with this groupshe started working with Maroondah Breast Screen in 1999, as both a reader of screening mammograms and an assessing Radiologist, directing further investigations for women recalled to an assessment clinic on the basis of a mammographic abnormality detected on screening.

Taft Diagnostic Imaging (TDI) became part of the MIA/I-Med Group several years after Ilana joined TDI, and Ilana continued working for the larger group until 2011 as a General Radiologist. When the decision was made by MIA to no longer staff Maroondah Breast Screen, Ilana continued working with Breast Screen as a senior VMO through Eastern Health. This role, which Ilana has held for20 years, involves reading in excess of 2000 mammograms each year, and running a weekly Breast Screen assessment clinic.

In 2012, Ilana made the decision to no longer practice as a General Radiologist, and instead to become a Breast Imaging Specialist. She began working for Breast Imaging Victoria and has been able to focus all her training and experience on honing her skills in this area of practice.
