Booking an Appointment

Should you have a breast issue or concern, have a family history of cancer or are interested in continuous breast screening please contact us to make an appointment.

Our Breast Imaging Services

Appointments can be made for a diagnostic assessment of the breast. This can include 

 

 

Depending on your age and issue your referring doctor should indicate which exam they recommend.

Referral for Breast Imaging Victoria

To attend an appointment we do require a valid referral from your GP or Specialist. A GP referral is valid for 12 months and a Specialist referral for 3 months.


Your GP or Specialist should include clinical notes of any of your symptoms or any specific breast cancer risk factors(family history, personal past history of breast cancer) you may have on the referral inorder for you to receive the maximum medicare rebate. We accept general referral letters or alternatively our Breast Imaging Victoria referral can be downloaded here.


To book an appointment simply call our friendly team, who will book the exams on a suitable day.


Please note that urgent appointments are always available for patients to be seen as soon as possible.

During My Appointment

Duration of appointments can vary. Please ask any of our team when booking your appointment and they can advise you on the duration, as well as parking and public transport in the area.

Most exam fees are eligible for a Medicare rebate. For more information please contact us and we can advise you depending on your appointment and referral.

Additional Information

On the day of your visit please arrive 5-10 minutes before the allocated time.

If you believe you may be pregnant, please inform a member of our team prior to your appointment. 

Please do not wear any perfume, spray deodorant or talcum powder and wear comfortable clothing.

Please try and forward all new referrals to our clinic prior to your appointment. If you are a returning patient, please make sure you have a valid referral on file.

If required, you may need to bring previous imaging to this appointment. This will allow us to do a comparison report to note any changes. If you require additional information on this please contact our booking staff.
